Once again it is Friday and I am sure you all are as thrilled as I am.
This week went relatively quickly, but it was also a little more stressful than I like due to graduation, district wide events, end of the year wrap-up, etc.
For that reason, my brain was in no condition to put together an intense and emotional post for you all today, but instead chose to go with a more relaxed, Five Things Friday, fun entry 🙂

5 Stores I Shop Regularly…I might even argue I couldn’t live without 😉
1. Whole Foods and Trader Joes…
I am lumping these two together just because they always occur in the same trip and they are pretty much the same genre, but they are by far my favorite places to grocery shop.
Both have fabulous store brand items that provide bargains galore; they both have great prepared food sections, and although I ALWAYS leave spending way more than I would like, it really is a treat for me to visit these two locales.
Their specialty items, that cannot be purchased anywhere else, absolutely set this pair apart from other grocers so if you haven’t made a visit, you definitely, definitely should!

I have shopped at Express since high school, and I still make too many trips to my go-to clothing store, but they are CONSTANTLY sending coupons that make me feel like it is ok to go and browse, and then I walk out with a bag full of stuff, regardless of my majorly filled closet at home.
I am not really complaining, because I have never been disappointed with any of my purchases, but my wallet would appreciate a break for the sale flyers!!!
I should definitely not be allowed to walk into a Target.
Target has EVERYTHING. I know people love Walmart and think that franchise has it all, but I have to disagree. Target clothing, grocery, health and beauty, athletic…pretty much every section of the store, reigns supreme.
I even have the debit card that works as an immediate 5% off for all purchases and that was probably not the best decision I have ever made because it just aids in justifying the extra box of Mojo’s, or adorable little sundress I seem to acquire every time I am in the Target vicinity.
Does anyone else have a Kohl’s? I think they are national, but again, they always send these ridiculous “take an additional 30% off” coupon in mail, AND have started to get some seriously cute clothes.
From Candies to Rock and Republic, you really can’t beat a $50 pair of designer jeans.
This is more of my treat store, but Nordstrom has the BEST shoe department.
Nothing more needs to be said….Nordstrom, shoes, and happy, kind of say it all!

5 Things I Do Everyday
1. Tell my family I love them.
This is SO SO SO important to me.
I don’t consider myself a superstitious person but I cannot leave our house without telling Ryan I love him. My mom and I don’t ever get off the phone without those three words as our ending, and even my sister, who is anti-hug, not overly affectionate by any means, will respond to my “ILY” texts before we go to bed.
Over the past few years I have realized how important family is and how wonderful it feels to truly be loved unconditionally, so since I am a firm believer that you should treat others as you would like to be treated in return so I will absolutely express my emotion toward those I care about and mean it every single time.
Love makes the world a much better place ❤
2. Some sort of physical activity.
I know I am opening myself up to criticism on this one but I have to be honest.
Exercise is an important part of living a healthy life, WHEN DONE IN BALANCE…and although I may not be in the BEST state to be doing any strenuous activity, nor do I have the perfect attitude or motives behind my desire to move, I am slowly working on gaining the healthy relationship I so strongly desire.
With every day of reduced time, intensity, etc. it does get mentally easier to “break” up with my exercise rigidity, but I will be the first to admit I have a long way to go.
3. Pray (or try to!)
Let me clarify….Prayer is super important to me because I don’t necessarily believe a person has to go to church to be close with the Lord.
My routine of praying every night was one that was instilled in me from the time I was a little girl when my Mimi would scratch my back and tell me stories as we went to sleep, but throughout my ED my pre-bed habit has kind of gone by the way side.
I either let the negative voice get the best of me and tell me I am not talking to God “correctly” so I shouldn’t even bother…or I am so darn tired I fall asleep without even thinking about giving thanks.
I am working hard on getting back my spirituality, but the process, like recovery and all things in life, is by no means “perfect.”
4. Pack my and Ryan’s lunches.
Do you know how much money you can save by packing lunch?! I just heard a report on the news that people spend a ridiculous amount on coffee, other beverages and take-out meals that I prefer to spend on clothes, or travel, or something way more interesting than a soggy sandwich from the quick stop I could make in my 45 minute lunch.
I read pretty much every day. Obviously I enjoy blogs, but I also LOVE to read books.
I haven’t updated my Library page of this site in a while but I have enjoyed quite a few in the past couple months that are worth adding. Right now I am finishing up the Hunger Games series (I know, where have I been?!) and I cannot wait for the movies to come out!!!
I should have listened long ago when people were raving about the trilogy.
5 Things I am Looking Forward To This Summer
I don’t think this requires much of an explanation. I just cant wait for some quality time with my husband, no work, shining sun and history galore.
Ahhh less than a month!!!
2. The Sullivan Golf Tournament
You can read about our annual tradition here, but it is so much fun to have a house full of Ryan’s friends, all vying for the pride that comes with winning the very prestigious gold event.
They have even added a corn-hole competition for good measure at the after round festivities…all held in my back yard 🙂
My sister, mom, dad, husband, in-laws, and MY birthday all fall within two months of each other.
In our household celebrations aren’t just a day, but I tend to stretch them out for as long as I can.
My twenty-first was probably the most extreme, but hey, you only turn 21, and live, once 😉
4. Sunny, Warm Weather
When Lauren said her mood is totally different with changes in the weather, I am absolutely with her.
Who wants to get up and be perky on a gray day? I do it, and sometimes and successful, but it is way more difficult than rising to blue sky and birds chirping.
5. Being a Member of a CSA
I recently joined my local CSA and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I love the idea of supporting a local farmer, getting a big box of fresh fruits and veggies weekly to experiment with, and just trying something new.
We are trying to get our school district named as a drop off site, so while the Wellness team works to organize that, I figured I might as well try it out to give an accurate report.
We already decided we are going to persue the option for employees so I didn’t really NEED to participate, but like I said, fresh food, Farmer Phil, and his passion behind his profession and sustainable living, had me absolutely sold.

*I am also hoping to attend Healthy Living Summit again! It was such an awesome way to connect with people, learn a ton and and make so many friends! I miss you all!!!!
